What spreads faster than Paris Hilton's herpes?

No, not her legs (though it may be a close match!)

Seriously, I might be a Yankee bitch but I hope all of you in SoCal and those of you who have family there are doing well in spite of the wildfires. Contrary to popular belief, I don't believe that New York and the surrounding areas are the center of the Universe.

I was speaking to my co-workers about some fabric that was given to me this morning and a temp came up & asked me if I can believe how lucky I am. I said, "For free fabric?!?!?" He said, "No, that we aren't suffering the wildfire or flooding like Cali & New Orleans!" I then told him to pack up his shit and get out...just kidding... we all shared the sentiment & astonishment over the fact that the Santa Ana winds are gusting at 100 mph (according to our local news). I do hope that the winds let up so that the firefighters can kick some wildfire ass! Hang in there everyone! I'm thinking of you & will be following the news....

On the positive side--Maybe the economy will pick up for the rest of the U.S. now. Californians will be looking for hotel rooms and possibly jobs/new lives now huh?

give me the address Jimbo! I'm happy to kick in! Or donate a few cases of beer for your mental anguish.

Have you heard anything yet or is it too soon to tell if you have damage?

The news looked slightly more positive this morning...if that's even possible

My house is fine. There was a fire about a mile away, but it would have had to burn several hundred houses to get to mine and the wind was blowing the wrong way. I did get a window broken out. We have had a BB gun hole in the window since we bought the house. I am not sure if there was to much pressure where the hole was or if something hit the window. There is a piece of plywood over the window and I duct taped the window closed from the outside. It looks like we live in a trailer park. At least the window is in the back and no one can see it.

I hope you will still contribute to the Jimbo relief fund. It is P.O Box Jimbo Relief Fund Ontario CA 91761

Sure, why not? I'll cut the check now. Seriously, it's great to hear that you don't have serious damage. I hope that trailor trash chic is back in style so that you can really let it all go to shit!

I don't live to far from Fontukey. The snot holes that live in LA and Orange County have labled us the dirt people. Do a google search on the 909er or dirt people. There are a couple of sites you will get a kick out of. I went to a concert out in Fontuckey to see Aerosmith and Montley Crew and I saw first hand where that saying came from. I did not know that anyone still had mullets. What pissed me off is I had tickets to see the same show at the Hollywood Bowl. I was to tired to go and went to Devore instead. Anyway, I digress.

To answer p0nk, Britney does not have to go far to feel at home down here
